Translation of Plume in German

Thanks to the work of Sebastian Günther you can now enjoy Plume in German. You can download the Plume German locale files. Just unzip and copy in your installation of Plume.

I would like to thanks all the people spending quite some time doing the translations in French, Russian, Slovak, German, Spanish and Portuguese. Really thank you all!

New testing version 1.1.3 released

I am pleased to announce the released of a new testing version of Plume. You can download it directly from SourceForge. This new version is introducing a better management of the templates (see related discussion) and a complete conversion to utf-8. It means that you need to be carefull when upgrading by doing a proved backup of your data before upgrade. Check the upgrade procedure on the wiki.

New release of Plume CMS are available. These are security fix releases of Plume CMS. You are invited to upgrade your installation as soon as possible. Download the new version of Plume CMS.

If you are upgrading, you must imperatively update all the preprend.php files in all the document root of your websites. Note that, if your php installation is running with the register globals option to off, your installation is safe.

Security notice - Please update your prepend.php file

For security reason explained in this Secunia advisory please update the file prepend.php in the document root of your website by adding the following line just after the license block:

Plume CMS 1.1.1 Released

I am very happy to announce the release of Plume CMS 1.1.1. This version is an improved 1.1 version with quite some work on the translations and the switch to utf-8 encoding for all the websites. The changelog is quite big and reflects the active development during the past month.

Updated French translations.
Updated Slovak translations.
Added the Spanish translations.
Added the Russian translations.
Fixed a bug preventing the load of the lang files for the list of tools.
Fixed some uninitialized variable notices with the wikirender.
Added documentation of the wiki syntax for the gallery.
General code cleaning and improved code documentation.
Added the conversion to utf-8 on upgrade and utf-8 by default on install.
Prevent the removal of the .svn folder when cleaning the cache.
Generate full link to files and ressources for the rss feed.
Improved interface of the getlocale.php script to perform the complete generation of a locale in one run.
Fixed bug in the cache time calculation.
Fixed ticket #4 to enable the removal of empty dirs in the file and image manager.
Fixed ticket #35 with default overwritting the category id.
Fixed ticket #18 now the root user can see all the users.
Fixed ticket #30 by adding a cookie valid for 15 days, Plume easily remembers you.
Fixed ticket #37 the comments are correctly shown after a post.

Switch to google groups to manage the forum

We decided not to use anymore a web based only discussion forum for the support. So we switched to use a Google group. You are very welcome to use it both as webbased or not. What is really important to notice is that you do not need a Google mail address to use it. I am for example using it with my Sourceforge address. So enjoy the google group of Plume CMS.

This version includes a gallery, comments for the resources and a lot more little/big things.

New hosting for Plume CMS

Plume CMS is being migrated from SourceForge to a new hosting provider. The new hosting is provided by TextDrive. As a user you will see some differences especially in term of speed. Sourceforge has been terribly slow in the last months, that is why we decided to move. Sourceforge will still be used for the downloading of the files. But out of that everything will be moved to our new server.

We are also migrating the code from the CVS repository to a new clean Subversion repository. This will come with an installation of trac the best tool for software development.

We hope, you will understand that the site will have some little troubles some times to times in the coming days. Just the time for the transfer of everything and the need to get used to our new home.
