This introduction is just for you to get used to the interface. The details are show afterwards.
The main menu
Depending of the rights you have, you may not see all the tabs at the top. The different tabs are:
- Content: From here you manage all the content of the website.
- Categories: To manage the categories in which you can put the content.
- Authors: To add new authors with different rights and to change the rights of the authors.
- Preferences: Here you can update your personal information. The language of the interface and also the theme of the interface.
- Tools: The tools are plugins to do special tasks, like the management of the general configuration of your PLUME CMS Installation.
- Sites: From here you can create a new website or modify some of the characteristics of a website.
- Help: If you need some help.
The sub-menus
For each main menu tab, a sub-menu is associated. For example the Content main menu proposes three sub-menus:
- News: To add news to your website
- Articles: To add articles
- Files or images: To directly upload images or documents like pdf files
When accessing a sub-menu, the sub-menu itself can change. This is to avoid adding another layer of menus and keep a clean interface.
But as you can see, I clicked on Articles from the general list of resources, I have a new sub-menu but it includes an item Back to the list of resources to go back to the previous part.
All the interface is following this same principle, that way you will not feel lost and it is easy to find your way.
